Breakfast was fantastic in that you could just help yourself to the wide selection. Beds were very comfortable as the mattress was a tempur pedic one.

We were on the 11th floor and it did take a long time for the hot water to reach the bathroom

I liked the location most of all. It was in fair walking distance to many different locations

The only thing I couldn't locate was a map of the area and a subway schedule.

The location and the staff were very helpful

Rooms were much too small.Breakfast was in a basement room and gave the impression of an afterthought. Food was not good. The whole hotel was pokey and definitely not value for money.

    nice staff

I was placed in a smoking room instead of a non-smoking room like I asked.

The location is great, it is clean and comfortable.

The price is a bit high, I think because it is NYC.

The room was very clean and I felt safe. The staff was helpful and polite. I would definitely stay there again. The parking wasn't very far away. Good location.

One thing that was an annoyance was the curtains. They had sheers that closed, but no room darkening curtains. The two panels were just for show and didn't close. Thus, my room was lit up all night by the building across the street that was lit up all night. I need darkness to sleep. Also, the noise from the street was loud, but I just figured that was NYC for you.

great placery cleane to stay in NY considering the exorbitant prices of hotels in Manhattan it's probably the one of the best value for money. Very clean, the bathroom is perfect. It's in a very nice and safety neighborhood.

Maybe the bedroom is small if you have much luggage.

    -great location

We were put in a smoking room that reeked. We understand that it was a long weekend, and there probably were no rooms available for us to switch to. When we asked the front desk if we could move to a non-smoking room, they were not helpful or accommodating. The desk clerk was actually quite rude when she answered us. For $300, the room was tiny. The mini fridge didn't work. The bathroom was the smallest one we've ever seen. We kept hitting our elbows on the sink because it was that close to the toilet.

    ouiet & peacful

not so much did not like hotel, was sometimes a little out of the way to get to some places.

The hotel is well located in midtown, clean, with good bathrooms and hot water. It is simply renovated keeping design features of the original 12 story building like the granite staircase and wood lobby. The rooms are small but adequate. The bedding is excellent. The buffet breakfast is the standard low line hotel fare. The value for the money in midtown Manhattan is outstanding.

Clean, nicely decorated hotel room in quiet but centrally located area of the city.

The extra $11 charged for laundry on the bill. Not sure if this was because we had a 3rd person in a double room but seemed excessive given the room capacity is 4.

Lack of restaurant and bar, poor breadfast facilities

  • Family with children

We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and cleanliness of our room. Other reviews had said the rooms were small but we found ours perfectly spacious and very tastefully decorated. Basic but clean, very comfortable and ideally located for both access to city features but not right in the busy hubbub of hotels closer to Times Square. It was easy to walk to everything, and felt very safe at any time of day or night we were in our neighbourhood. As we were travelling with our two kids, that was I mportant. The continental breakfast was very substantial and plentiful - a great way to start our day of exploring this fantastic city! We would stay here again, for sure.

The movies on the movie channel were pricey and the quality a bit dodgy at times.

  • Family with children
    7.0

The beds are fantastic, the room sizeable. The cleaning is prompt, but could certainly be more thorough, especially the bathrooms.

If you eat a late breakfast like myself, alot fo the items were not replenished at 9:30....eggs, donuts, fruit. I REALLY believe hotels in NYC should have Breakfast from 8am-12pm and keep their breakfast topped up at all times. That is a huge selling point to me, especially with 3 kids.

  • Older travelers
    8.8

A clean hotel at a very reasonable price (for nyc) with breakfast included. The location is "central" for everything in the City: lower east side, theatre district. We would definitely stay there again.
